Diagnostic Ultrasound

A valuable diagnostic imaging tool utilizing high frequency sound waves that “bounce” off objects/structures (ie-bones, tendons, ligaments) in the foot and ankle producing visual images on a monitor.  A cost effective modality that is used to identify lesions and describe it's location, dimensions, proximity to adjacent structures, appearance and vascularity.  Very useful in the diagnosis of neuromas, plantar fasciitis, tendonitis, tendon tears, stress fractures and foreign bodies/objects.

Injections guided by ultrasound and biopsies guided by ultrasound are also benefits of this device.
